For the 17th year, Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa, renews its strategic partnership with the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) for Dubai Summer Surprises. Following the four days of Eid in Dubai celebrations, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif will embark on a colorful five-week program filled with interactive stage shows and unique musical performances, including some special guests starting July 28th.

In line with the vision to create great moments for everyone every day, Majid Al Futtaim is allowing shoppers to pick their dream prize within the malls. With prizes worth AED 1,000,000 to be given away, residents and tourists are invited to join in on the summer fun.

Some of the signature events to look forward to this Dubai Summer Surprises include: a Movie Mania Musical at City Centre Deira, from July 28 -August 4, which will feature sing-a-long performances based on movie theme songs; a mesmerizing Aerial Artist, who will perform at dizzying heights at Mall of the Emirates from August 2 -8; the action-packed Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure stage show, featuring characters from the popular video game series at City Centre Mirdif from August 7-16 and City Centre Deira from August 21-30; and finally, a very special guest performance by the comical and musically-inclined Kuwaiti trio, Sheyaab of Arab’s Got Talent fame at City Centre Mirdif from August 21-23.

This summer, shoppers who accumulate AED 450 worth of shopping at any of the stores within Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif will be entitled to take part in a raffle draw to win gift vouchers worth AED 1,000,000. The lucky winner may spend these vouchers and buy anything he/she wants at any of the Majid Al Futtaim shopping malls in Dubai.

The fun goes viral too! Online users can also participate in the summer fun by creating a wish list from the malls’ Facebook app. Fans can then share it on social networking sites for a chance to win and make their dream come true.
