Eat. Meet. Play and repeat. City Centre Deira has transformed into a gastronomic hub for Dubai Food Festival where visitors can experience unique culinary experiences, games, food decoration and craft workshops for children and adults, and share plenty of Instagrammable moments from February 21 to March 9.

“Offering an experiential culinary journey is an integral part of creating memorable moments at City Centre Deira,” said Majed Al Fahim, Senior Mall Manager at City Centre Deira.

“Families and millennials are looking for something trendy, unique and different every time they eat out. As dining gains increasing importance in our visitors’ experience at the mall, we have introduced a variety of activities that will delight every food lover visiting us during the Dubai Food Festival. From sampling different dishes to trying their luck in the pop-up activity zone, each person is sure to find something new.”

The DFF Social Hub 
All the culinary action will happen at the Mall’s West Court from February 28 until March 9. Visitor who shop for AED 200 will gain exclusive access to this exciting zone, which is located on level 2, next to the mobile phone store Axiom Telecom.  

Customers can come with friends and family to hang out, try cuisines from around the world, play games, attend creative workshops and create great hashtag moments. Dive into the ball pool, in which players will race against the clock in search of a golden ball. Those that locate the elusive sphere will be able to exchange it for a prize.

The Snap and Play space is primed for youngsters and millennials who want to make a colourful social media splash during the festival. A maze-like installation has been created with hundreds of brightly coloured streamers that are suspended from a large frame. Just step inside for the ultimate Instagram opportunity. 

Here's your opportunity to relive your childhood. Challenge family and friends to table football, the supersized versions of Connect 4 or a sliding tile picture puzzle at City Centre Deira and win bragging rights. 

Enjoy something a little bit different every time you visit the food truck, which will serve a variety of cuisines on rotation in the activity zone. 

Impress with new culinary skills
City Centre Deira will run themed workshops from February 28 until March 9. Keep learning and sign up for free sessions on healthy eating, coffee-making and cupcake and doughnut decoration to impress guests at your next dinner party. 

Children have plenty to look forward to, as well. Food art sessions will see them craft unique pictures and ornaments throughout the week.

And, if you are looking to enhance your cooking experience, join City Centre Deira’s Culinary Workshops, suitable for amateurs and enthusiasts. The interactive themed workshops will run for 10 days during the festival and offer free sessions on the most delicious dishes. 

Give back this season
In line with its commitment towards corporate social responsibility, and to support the communities that surround the mall, City Centre Deira will invite customers to donate canned food (bought from Carrefour) for distribution to disadvantaged UAE residents. In return for each donation, they are entitled to enter a contest with the grand prize of an AED 2,000 Mall GiftCard.

Winning spree 
During the festival, City Centre Deira will also surprise visitors with several giveaways from February 21 until March 9. Shoppers who spend AED 200 or more will be able to enter a prize draw for their chance to win an AED 2,000 Mall Gift card daily. Visitors can double their chances of winning by dining at the mall. 

Additionally, customers who spend AED 150 in any of the Mall’s restaurants will be able to exchange their receipts for instant VOX Cinemas movie tickets.
