A Holy Month filled with entertainment, activities and shining décor bringing family, tradition and culture together
Spanning across the UAE, Majid Al Futtaim’s shopping malls bring shine to everyone’s Ramadan this year, for guests from all backgrounds, with twinkling starlight, traditional hanging decorations, and plenty of entertainment and family activities. The malls shine inside out as Majid Al Futtaim welcomes its guests, fostering community engagement, the core spirit of Ramadan.
Keeping in the ancient tradition of Ramadan with a modern twist, sparkling stars, the moon’s crescent shape and other decorative trimmings adorn every corner of one of Dubai’s favorite malls, Mall of the Emirates. Energy saving, LED light curtains make the mall sparkle inside and out, starting out with a blanket of stars on the outside entrances and moving inside starlight in the central galleria dome, crescent moons in the corridors, and even a LED lit horse in the Fashion District.
The same Ramadan spirit is felt at City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif, as mall visitors enjoy the Ramadan-themed décor and entertainment including Tanoura dancers at City Centre Mirdif’s Central Galleria, the whirling dervishes, with their colorful fabrics and dizzying spins performing every hour daily from 8:15 pm to 11:15 during Ramadan and Eid celebrations. Guests visiting City Centre Deira between 8.00pm and 12.00am will be welcomed at the metro by a Falconer. The façade of both City Centres will shine from afar with a wide, 10mx28m LED mesh lighting, sparkling with stars. Mall visitors will experience Ramadan with their families and friends amidst illuminated crescent moons, starry chandeliers and falcon displays.
Majid Al Futtaim’s Ramadan festivities extend to the Northern Emirates at City Centre Sharjah, City Centre Ajman and City Centre Fujairah. Crescent moons, stars and colorful trimmings will adorn all three City Centres, giving residents a warm and festive Ramadan month. Exclusively, City Centre Sharjah is hosting Hospitality Nights, where guests can drink Arabic coffee and eat dates during Iftar. Entertaining guests are Henna artists for the ladies during the last ten days of Ramadan and Eid. An Arabic style tent will be set up throughout the Holy Month for visitors to enjoy along with the themed decorations throughout the mall.
In addition to the shimmering décor, guests can take part in the annual ‘Make a Difference this Ramadan’ charity campaign by giving back to needy families in the community by donating unused items at specially marked donation bins located at Majid Al Futtaim’s shopping malls across the UAE.
Across the UAE, all of Majid Al Futtaim’s shopping malls are extending their opening hours to 1:00am throughout the week, with dining options and coffee shops open as late as 3:00am to accommodate guests during Ramadan.
