Majid Al Futtaim—the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia—is bringing the award-winning game MONOPOLY, the SMILE edition, back this May after popular demand. Exclusively at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif from May 1 – 14, shoppers are invited to play the latest instalment of the much-loved family board game MONOPOLY - with more winning opportunities than ever before.

The giant MONOPOLY SMILE game is a life-sized, tailor-made version of the iconic property trading game featuring new elements that are inspired by the happiest city in the world, Dubai, as well as malls SMILE campaign. This year, participants will be playing to collect Smiles and more instant prizes than ever before await players from over 30 of the malls fashion, dining and entertainment outlets. The player who collects the most Smiles at the end of the game is announced the winner and win AED 500 dirham instantly in Mall Giftcard

Another fun addition to this year’s game can be found before participants even start to play the game. Funny clowns and characters will keep everyone entertained while waiting for their turn to play, and of course Mr. Monopoly will have a few tricks up his sleeve. New social media elements have also been added whereby players are asked to take a selfie when they land on a specific square to get more points.

To play the game, shoppers can exchange their receipts of AED300 for a token at the malls customer service desks. Each shopper can play up to four times per day from 12pm – 10pm on weekdays and 12pm – 11:30pm on weekends.

The winning doesn’t end there! Visitors who shop for AED600 at Mall of the Emirates and AED500 at City Centre Mirdif have the opportunity to win an incredible grand prize of AED100,000. What’s more guaranteed prizes await shoppers at City Centre Deira until May 15. Customers who shop from AED 500 to AED1,500 will receive an AED 100 Mall Gift Card or prizes, while those who shop for AED 1,500 and above will receive an AED 300 Mall Gift Card or prizes. An interactive smiley booth is set up in the Centre Court with a giant ‘smile-o-metre’ which will fill up as the participant’s smile grows. They must hold that smile for a photo in the booth and redeem their prize, which will include Mall Gift Cards to VOX Cinemas tickets, from the vending machine.
